A JUSTIFICATION OF NONLINEAR TWO-DIMENSIONAL MODEL FOR FERROMAGNETIC PLATES WITH MAGNETOSTRICTION

Abstract

We consider a three-dimensional model of ferromagnetic material with magnetostriction, coupling the Landau-Lifschitz-Gilbert equation and the elasticity wave equation, with mixed boundary condition. We establish the existence of global in time weak solutions. By asymptotic method when the thickness of the sample tends to zero, we obtain and justify a new two-dimensional model for thin plates of ferromoagnetic magnetostrictive material.
