Elastomer composition used for making wound dressing

Abstract : A rubber compn. comprising 2.5 - wt.​% of ABA triblock copolymers comprising two thermoplastic styrene terminal blocks A and a central elastomer block B that is a satd. olefin; 45 - 97.5 wt.​% polyisobutene having a very low (700 - 3,​000) mol. wt. and optionally an AB diblock copolymer is used for making wound dressing. A typical rubber compn. (example 3) contains 6 wt.​% Kraton G 1654, 93.8 wt.​% Pionier 2076 and 0.2 wt.​% Irganox 1010.
