Phénomènes célestes, miracles et apparitions, une interprétation miraculeuse de la première croisade
Abstract
The First Crusade (1095-1099) is described as both an historical and a
miraculous event. Chroniclers and writers of epics of the 12th or 13th centuries, in France
and in the Middle East, do not agree about the interpretation of miracles. For some of
them it is a forgery, for others the sign of God's intervention within History. This
conflict in interpretation is the foundation for the consciousness of writing History
