Adhesion of PSAs on human skin: a better understanding of the mechanisms.

Résumé

The article presents a test which characterizes the adhesion of pressure sensitive adhesives on a viscoelastic substrate having similar properties as human skin, in order to better understand the adhesion mechanisms as well as better control the properties of medical devices. A system consisting of a film based on a natural polymer matrix, adjusted with adequate components, exhibits surface and mech. properties close to human skin demonstrates the adhesion phenomena on skin. Comparisons with in vivo peel tests confirm the relevance of the method and data. [on SciFinder(R)]
