CRITICAL ASPECTS OF SELECTIVE EXTRACTIONS OF TRACE METALS FROM ESTUARINE SUSPENDED MATTER. Fe AND Mn HYDROXIDES AND ORGANIC MATTER INTERACTIONS.
Résumé
Sequential extractions are used for the determination of physico-chemical associations and bioavailability of particulate heavy metals. For the extraction of a given fraction several leaching agents can be employed with varying efficiency. In addition to these problems of a purely chemical nature of 'power' of desorption and dissolution, it is proposed here that the heterogeneity and physical associations (e. g. , coatings) of the various solid fractions may bring additional complications.
