Ontological Reasoning for the Personalization of Multimedia Adaptation Services in Smart Home Domain

Nowadays, the mobile technology is extensively used and is developing very fast. The development of multiple functionalities of Smartphones make information reachable at anytime, anyhow and anywhere. The different contextual information including the user preferences and capabilities and the heterogeneity of mobile devices introduce different constraints on the presentation of the document. In this paper, we propose an adaptation approach based on ontological reasoning for a personalized multimedia documents adaptation. Thus, we propose rules for the purposes of providing an adaptable mobile service to the user. We present a case study that focuses on providing adapted document for elder persons on smart homes.
